Web-based communities have millions of active users. Social and mobile media revolutionize how we share information among peers and with the world. They impact our perception of products or services and change the way we play games. Although these effects are obvious, the underlying mechanisms are not yet well understood. Our research on social networks and mobile applications therefor focuses on
